#11 - Moving to Australia as a Medic with Dr Jess Ye (Full-time Locum Doctor)

Are you a healthcare professional considering working abroad? During this episode our host Elle (Dr Gabrielle Todd) is joined by Dr Jess Ye, a UK trained Doctor who moved to Australia three years ago after finishing her foundation training. She originally thought this would be a short adventure of less than a year but she is still there now, working as a locum Doctor in Emergency Departments across the country. 

During this episode, Jess shares an honest and helpful account of her own journey. She describes the logistical process of working clinically in Australia. She explains the various things to consider when making this type of change to your career, as well as the differences (both positive and negative) of working abroad. This episode really does contain lots of important reflections and practical advice for anyone having doubts about their career but particularly for anyone considering the move to Australia.
